Treatment of HIV and co-infections (hepatitis C and teburculosis)
Responding to rapidly rising HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV) and Tuberculosis (TB) prevalence rates in the countries of the former USSR, the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) and the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ITCPru) have jointly implemented the Access, Services, Knowledge (ASK) Training Project, addressing the issues of alarmingly low treatment literacy and minuscule patient-friendly sources available on treatment and drug developments for people living with HIV, HCV and TB. Two regional trainings - in Baku, Azerbaijan on 11-14 December 2014 and in St. Petersburg, Russia on 5-7 June 2015 - were embedded in this project.
